Dear Editor

  • The poll will be taken between 7.00 a.m. and 10.00 p.m. on Friday, 29TH November.
  • At the close of poll, ballot boxes will be delivered to the count centre in Loreto Secondary School, Sports Hall, Ballynagee, Wexford.
  • The count will commence at 9am on Saturday, 30th November 2024.
  • At the Count Centre, the ballot papers will be checked to reconcile the number of papers in each ballot box with the accounts returned from the polling stations.
  • The taking of a tally will be accommodated when the ballot boxes are being opened.
  • Once boxes have been reconciled, the ballot papers will be counted.
  • While it is not possible to predict the times at which counts will finish, it is proposed to conclude counts before midnight and to resume at approximately 9.30am on the following day.  If there is a reasonable prospect of a count finishing in the early hours of any morning this option may be taken.
